Carnival!

WOW! What an amazing evening! Thank you so much to Pence Pals for putting on such a fun filled night. I was so impressed seeing all of the families that showed up. Yes, even the ones who came just to pie me in the face! You are all such a great group of people, I can't get hold a grudge! :)
Also, thank you to the few that brought in items for our Ice Cream Sundae basket! We had a great turn out during the silent auction for our basket. All of the $ earned will go back into our classroom, so THANK YOU!
Because my face was covered in whip cream, I do not personally have pictures to put up! But, I will get some soon, stay posted!

Technology!

Our class has been a pilot for a few technology resources. You may have heard your student talking about sites like Edmodo, Wixie, their emails, and now Glogster. Our students at Fairfield Community School district are lucky to have access to the technology that we do. Every student is given their own personal email with their parents permission. Having the emails has made it easier for our student to log into these programs. The latest we have been exploring is Glogster EDU. Students have been studying the Northeast Region in Social Studies. For our final project students have chosen a state from the region and researched it. Then they used Glogster EDU to present their information by creating an online poster. Here is a quick video of some of their work. Feel free to get online and have them show you their work!

Spring Pictures!

TOMORROW is Spring Picture Day! Be sure to dress everyone dresses their best and smiles big! :)

Book Share Projects

Coming Soon! Our fourth grade class is getting tech savy! We are currently working on a book share project using Glogster. It is an online poster making tool. Students will choose their FAVORITE book that they have read this year. Not just any book, a book they read during fourth grade! Glogster has many cool features like adding pictures, text, videos, and voice! We can't wait to show you all our favorite books!
